What if there was a god-like force that held civilization together…
and someone killed it?

Volume 3: TOMORROW’S ASHES.

“In many ways the embodiment of what Black Mask is all about as a publisher: Bold, visceral storytelling unconcerned with being pinned down in one genre or category.” -SyfyWire

Volume 4: SPIDERLAND.
(cover art by Nen Chang)

“Imaginative, audacious, uninhibited.
If SAGA toiled in the underbelly of a dystopian society full of grime and subjective morality, there you'd find GODKILLER.
A potent mix of BLADE RUNNER, HEAVY METAL, and AKIRA.”
-Lotusland

“Stellar. Enchanting.
Wonderfully bizarre.”

Kirkus Reviews Starred Review
BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR LIST
“In Pizzolo’s stellar graphic novel, an orphan boy braves a desolate, post-apocalyptic land in search of a heart for his sister.
There’s a lot going on in Pizzolo’s wonderfully bizarre story, but its most distinctive feature is a barren, nearly dead world.
The outside world is filled with decrepit, abandoned buildings, and even characters’ bodies are in disrepair, adorned in lacerations and stitches. The people, too, are lost souls: Tommy defies the reputedly civilized Republic in Silver City and swears an oath to the Burnt, an order he’s only read about in comic books (he took a hot iron to the face, the corresponding bandage serving as a constant reminder of his want for independence).
The decidedly adult novel features a good amount of sex and violence, though never in a typical fashion.
Wieszczyk and Templesmith’s artwork is enchanting and a true visual companion to Pizzolo’s story. Characters are etched in chaotic scratches as if carved in stone, and pages are saturated in a rusty hue, like the soot and dirt corroding the atmosphere.
Deftly unorthodox and wickedly delectable; not so much a story as an experience.”

“Fast,
brutal,
and more than
a little sexy.”

“One of the most unique and energetic series to hit the stands in quite some time.
Wieszczyk’s art is something special, a mixture of cartooning and real-world photos. It has an animated feel, like static images from a bloody and graphic adult cartoon. There’s lots to love. It’s fast, brutal, and more than a little sexy. So sexy that we had to slightly censor some of the pages just so we could show them to you.
Pizzolo writes the issue with grace and precision. It moves fast, but allows you to pick up what information you need along the way.
On top of all that, it’s lots of fun, assuming your idea of fun is the visual of somebody literally getting a bomb ripped out of their stomach. It’s not for the faint of heart, in other words.”

“A horrific yarn of apocalypse.”

Post-Apocalyptic Comic Godkiller Emerges as ‘Illustrated Film’
Post-nuclear punk odyssey Godkiller is making the jump from indie comic book to ‘illustrated film’ with engaging animation that merges sequential art, 3-D CGI and motion graphics.
’In illustrated films, we drive the pace of the storytelling with the dramatic voice performances and the sound design, so that allows us to showcase the illustrations in a way where you can really take a moment to absorb the art in the same way you can when reading a comic book,’ Pizzolo told Wired.
Godkiller, previewed in the exclusive clip above, is a horrific yarn of apocalypse, quantum physics, culture jamming and conspiracy theory.
The illustrated film features voiceovers from sci-fi standouts like Lance Henriksen (Aliens, Millennium), Nicki Clyne (Battlestar Galactica), cult priestess Lydia Lunch and singers Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack and Davey Havok of A.F.I.”

“A singular vision full of fresh elegant brutality and dark humor, it’s like some genius commissioned Chuck Palahniuk, Terry Gilliam, and Aleister Crowley to reinvent dystopia fiction.”

- Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (filmmakers Synchronic, The Endless, upcoming Moon Knight on Disney+)

“Honestly, I loved it.”

“This is the comic book equivalent of death metal, grunge and punk all wrapped up in a bow that says f you to the socially conditioned norm.”
- Alice W. Castle, Multiversity

“I was truly moved.”

“It's a dizzying read that will burrow into the core of your being. It pushed me further than I've ever been pushed and it establishes a new level of dialogue in the medium. In short, it's mandatory reading for anyone who loves comics. 5 out of 5 Skulls.”
- Zac Thompson, Bloody Disgusting

“Sticks with you long after reading it.”

“It's filled with sordid fun and cracked horror. Pizzolo has a talent for both quick and heady dialogue as well as creative and fresh concepts that make this devious world of Godkiller a place you'd want to dive into despite how dark it is.“-Ambush Bug, Aint It Cool News

GODKILLER will return in 2023 with Vol 5: For Those I Love I Will Sacrifice.
